about

My background is in art and illustration. I became excited about graphic and web design in art school when I had to take a digital class as a required course. I dreaded the prospect of taking a computer class but I wound up finding it a lot of fun. I liked the problem solving qualities of making graphics for the web and figuring out how to create functional, visually pleasing imagery.

In my professional work experience I have had roles ranging from designer to art direction to program management. I enjoy learning new skills and getting out of my comfort zone. One consistent theme has always been usability. Design solutions should prioritize the user and addressing pain points.
